In the beginning

Animals come into our lives to offer us many, many things. Once you have experienced the joy, and albeit sometimes frustration, of owning a pet, your life will never be the same. Animals are caring. They are loyal. They are loving. And the friendships they provide to us are unrivaled.

Some will never know this love, this compassion, this soul matching. And yet, those of us who have experienced it know our lives have been changed forever for the better. These creatures have filled a void we didn’t know we had. They have provided us with companionship, unwavering devotion, and everlasting bonds that will stay with us until we one day meet them again at the Rainbow Bridge.

My stories will embark on the funny, the unfortunate, the mind-blowing insanity that ensues when you own pets. And yet, I could not start such a journey without first reminding us all that they serve a deep, soul-filling purpose. They are our best friends, our constant companions, and our biggest cheerleaders. We are their whole worlds, and they deserve to be idolized in such fashion.

So please join me as I remember the animals that have come, and some gone, in my life. I will cherish them forever. I will carry their love with me until eternity. And I will mourn the ones I’ve lost until the day I die.

This journey will make you laugh, it may make you cry, it may make you scream in fits of unbelievability. But foremost, I hope it makes you smile.
